2nd Place in State !!!
The NHS varsity girls finished second in the state to end an incredible season! They beat Valdosta 3 to 0 in the state semifinals to make it to the championship round. There they faced undefeated (since 2003) Walton High School who was going for their 8th state championship in a row. The team gave it a valiant effort, but couldn't quite pull off another upset. It was a perfect day for tennis and the matches were of the highest quality.
Thanks to those who came out to support the team, including Principal Patterson, NHS Athletic Director Kirk Barton, parents, siblings, and present and former players! Your presence was greatly appreciated! And again, congratulations to the varsity girls on a wonderful, storybook season!

 CONGRATULATIONS TO THE VARSITY GIRLS
The team continued their winning ways by beating Lassiter HS in the state quarterfinals 3 to 1! The semifinals and finals will be played on Friday, May 6 at the Clayton County International Park Tennis Center. The semifinals begin around Noon. If the team wins, then the finals are later on that same day. In the semis, the team will play the winner of the Camden County versus Valdosta matches (being played on Monday). The tennis center is 50 minutes away at 2300 Hwy 138 SE, Jonesboro 30236.
The team has played all their playoff matches on the road against larger home team crowds; so if you can, come and show your support for these outstanding players! Be there to see the end to their incredible season!!!
